I know the combination of peanut butter, chocolate, and strawberries sounds kind of strange, but it somehow just works well; it’s kind of like eating a chocolate peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich without the bread and a nice change from the frozen yogurt bark with berries.

Chocolate covered strawberries will always hold a place in my heart, but spreading peanut butter over the slices first makes the best frozen bark snack!

  1. Slice The Strawberries: Remove the top, outer edges, and slice the strawberries lengthwise. Arrange them in rows. (Image 1)
  2. Prepare The Peanut Butter: Microwave the peanut butter for 15-20 seconds and spread it over the strawberries (Image 2). Freeze for 5 minutes.
  3. Melt: Microwave the chocolate and shortening in 20-second increments until smooth, stirring in between each burst.
  4. Top The Treats: Pour the melted chocolate over the peanut butter and top with sea salt (Image 3). Freeze for at least two hours.
  5. Slice and Serve: Slice into pieces, serve, and enjoy!

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries
  • cups peanut butter
  • cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 12-ounce bag
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable shortening

Instructions
 

  • Line a large cutting board or baking sheet with a 9×13-inch piece of parchment paper.
  • Wash and dry the strawberries well, then cut off the tops, creating a flat surface. Slice each strawberry into thick slices lengthwise and cut off the rounded edges of the outside pieces so they lay flat.
