Best Puppy Chow Recipe FAQs
Puppy chow is called puppy chow because it resembles dog food! BUT…trust me, it doesn’t taste anything like dog food!! Puppy Chow is sometimes also called muddy buddies, monkey munch or muddy munch. Whatever you call it… it is delicious!
If you don’t give your puppy chow a bit of time to cool, the fat from the butter and peanut butter will absorb the powdered sugar and it will cause the texture to become a bit soggy inside. So, it’s best to have a bit of patience and let it sit on a baking sheet for about 20 minutes.
Letting the puppy chow rest will help it to keep from going soggy. It’s also important to use a super tightly sealed container. Storing puppy chow in the fridge can also help it from going stale.
Puppy chow tastes like all things delicious! It is a combination of Chex cereal, peanut butter, chocolate and powdered sugar.
Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
