How to Make Pub Style Beer Cheese Dip

  1. Place the cream cheese and beer to your pan. Over medium heat melt cream cheese together with beer. Whisk together until well combined.
  2. When cream cheese is completely melted, add garlic salt, paprika, extra sharp cheddar, and Monterey jack cheeses, stirring continuously until cheese is melted and all ingredients are combined.
  3. Transfer to a serving dish, garnish with additional shredded cheese bacon crumbles if desired.
  4. Serve with pretzels, veggies or bread for dipping.
  5. If you want to keep the dip warm throughout your party, you can transfer the dip to a small crockpot and keep it on low heat or even on the warm setting.

How to Make a Bread Bowl

One of our favorite things to do with our cheese dip is to hollow out bread and make a bread bowl! The presentation is amazing!

  1. Just grab a round loaf of bread (about 1 pounder)
  2. Cut about a 1 1/2 inch circle slice off of the top and set aside.
  3. Hollow our the inside of the bread leaving a thick crust.
  4. Pour dip into the inside of the bread bowl and use the hollowed out pieces to dip.

    1. Does this cheese dip freeze well? Made it for a party with too much leftover and I donโ€™t want it to go to waste.

    2. 5 stars
Amazing recipe! Served for my Game Night and the entire group praised this cheese dip. I was hosting an Oktoberfest party and used a Festbier German beer purchased at the AVC store. Definitely a keeper recipe!

    3. 3 stars
Flavor gets it 3 stars, but like someone else commented, Following Written instructions to a tee, it was RUNNY. I think 12-oz beer too much. I ended up adding an additional 8oz mont jack and 8oz cheddar. 32 oz cheese total, thatโ€™s a tad much!! And, it was still on the runny side. I added more paprika & garlic salt. Flavor good, but not thick enough. I did use name-brand cheeses & grated the cheese myself, so thinking the liquid volume to begin with was too much.

      1. 4 stars
Wanted to add to my earlier review, that this thickened up when COOLED. As warm, it was too runny, but when it got closer to room temp, it was definitely thicker โ€“ like the video. Everyone really liked it, but since I added so much cheese to thicken it, lost some of the beer taste. I will definitely hold on to this recipe, just will tweak it next time.

    4. Have you ever made it ahead of time and re-heated?? And if so, does it turn out that way? Traveling to a party and I might not have access to a stove or microwave but could reheat in my crockpot

      1. Hey Jolene โ€“ I havenโ€™t tried reheating it, but I would think it would be fine. Just chill it until you are ready to use and then heat it covered on medium in the microwave (stirring frequently) until the temp that you are looking for.

    5. 2 stars
Mine come out runny. Written instructions shows to use 12oz of beer but video shows 8ozโ€ฆ.maybe thatโ€™s why?

    6. 5 stars
Beer cheese dip is one of my favorite party appetizers! I always forget about making it at home, though! Thanks for this easy recipe โ€“ I canโ€™t wait to try it!
