This Easy Peppermint Fudge will soon become your favorite holiday treat!
Chocolate is so temperamental, and if you try to rush candy-making, you end up with grainy nastiness. This recipe, however, yields a smooth, creamy fudge with just enough peppermint flavor to make it taste like Christmas. ๐ The best part about it? You donโt need a candy thermometer!
Hi there, Pinky Pals! Itโs Nicole from 365(ish) Days of Pinterest and Iโm back this month with another easy treat for the season โ Easy Peppermint Fudge! Of all the Christmas goodies that fill our tables around the holidays, fudge is probably my least favorite.
I realize that it may be simply because I havenโt had good fudge. That is, up until now! LOVE peppermint treats โ Princess Pinky Girl is the queen of peppermint โ I absolutely love her Peppermint Christmas Chex Mix and her Peppermint Oreo Popcorn Bark. Be sure to check them out!

Easy Peppermint Fudge
Ingredients
- 18 ounces vanilla baking chips about 1 bag and another cup, Some people call this white chocolate, but actual white chocolate is a horse of a different color. These are actually vanilla chips, and they sell them with all the chocolate chips in the baking aisle.
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk 14 oz.
- ยผ cup butter cut into small pieces
- ยฝ tsp peppermint extract
- ยฝ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup Hershey's Candy Cane Kisses or crushed peppermint, but that will amp up the minty flavor a bit, so you may want to leave out the peppermint extract, cut into small pieces
Instructions
- Line an 8x8 pan with parchment paper or wax paper. Be sure to leave some hanging over the sides for easy removal later
- In a double boiler, place the chips, condensed milk and butter and melt over low heat, stirring constantly. Keep going until you get a nice smooth, thick texture.
- Remove from heat and stir in the extracts.
- Pour into the pan and smooth into the corners. Top with the cut/crushed candy.
- Chill at least 2 hours and then cut into squares and serve!

My husband said it reminded him of biting into soft cheese. ๐ If you want to add some candy into the fudge mixture, you can certainly do that. It looks very pretty to have the colors running through the whole bar. I wasnโt looking for extra crunch in mine, so I only added the peppermint candy to the top this time.
These make a festive and fairly inexpensive treat to give to your neighbors or co-workers this Christmas. And I guarantee they wonโt the be last thing sitting alone on a plate of goodies this time. ๐
Too hard & take too long to melt. Also mine wouldnโt come off the paper easily. I left in the refrigerator for 4 hours to chill
