How to Make Fruity Pebbles Treats
- Make The Cereal Mixture: Melt the marshmallows and butter in the microwave, add the Fruity Pebbles, and stir to coat.
- Prepare The Pan: Pour the mixture into the pan and press it down so that it’s level. Cover with plastic and set aside until set.
Pro Tip: You can use your hands, a spoon, or a spatula brushed with butter or sprayed with nonstick cooking spray to press your mixture into the pan. Don’t smash it down! You want the bars to be soft and chewy when they cool. - Serve: Slice, serve, and enjoy!
Tip From Our Recipe Developer
- These cereal treats normally do best when left to sit overnight.
- If it seems like there’s too much marshmallow, add more cereal, a cup at a time, and stir until you think it’s the right consistency.
- This recipe works great with other cereals that have smaller pieces too!
- If you want thicker treats, you can double the recipe, or use a 10×7 pan instead.
- For a fun texture addition, add some unmelted mini marshmallows to the mixture and stir them in before placing the mixture in the pan.
- Make sure to use fresh ingredients. Soft marshmallows and a fresh bag of fruity pebbles will yield the best fruity pebble rice krispie treats.
Storage
- To Store: These treats will stay fresh for 2-3 days if stored in an airtight container at room temperature.
