Halloween Chex Mix Snack
A little sweet, a little salty and a little bit of pumpkin spice equals a delicious Halloween treat.
We are always looking for some fun new ways to celebrate Halloween. By celebrate I usually am referring to some type of treat!
Our Pumpkin Spice Chex Mix goes completely viral every Fall (especially around Pumpkin Spice Latte season!) But this year, we thought we would Halloween it up, by adding in some fun Halloween colors.
This Halloween Chex Mix is the perfect treat for your Halloween party or school classroom party! Put some in some cute Halloween baggies and and hand them out to friends and family!
Ingredients
For the Sauce
- Butter
- Brown Sugar
- Pumpkin Pie Spice
- Vanilla Extract
For the Chex Mix
- Honey Nut Chex cereal
- Pretzels
- Caramel Bugles
- M&M’s (Halloween colors – Gouhl’s Mix is what I used)
- Candy Corn Mix (Sometimes called Autumn Mix – candy corn, candy pumpkins)
- Reese’s Pieces
How to Make Halloween Chex Mix
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the cereal, pretzels, and Bugles
- In a small bowl, stir together melted butter, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla and then pour over the dry mix.
Stir in the brown sugar mix slowly in small batches. So add a little, stir a little. Add a little more, stir. Continue until it is all incorporated and mixed evenly in. - On a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a Silpat, spread out the mixture into an even layer.
- Bake at 275 for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Let cool on the baking sheet and when totally cool, mix in the candy pieces.
- Store in an airtight container and try not to consume in one sitting!

Halloween Chex Mix

- 1 8-oz bag M&M’s Halloween colors – Gouhl’s Mix is what I used
- 1 cup harvest candy mix candy corn, candy pumpkins
- ½ cup Reese’s pieces
Instructions
- Mix the cereal, pretzels, and Bugles and in a large mixing bowl.
- In a separate bowl, stir together melted butter, brown sugar, pumpkin pie spice, and vanilla and then pour over the dry mix.TIP: Stir in the brown sugar mix slowly in small batches. So add a little, stir a little. Add a little more, stir. Continue until it is all incorporated and mixed evenly in.

My house smells amazing now lol. I’m not a pumpkin spice fan but this is not overwhelming and is very tasty. I think it will be the hit of the Halloween party!

Although I went to six grocery stores searching for ingredients, it was worth the hunt. I never did find the Booterscotch M & Mโs so I substituted the dark chocolate variety. Itโs cooling right now and we are excited to munch on the mix!

You can really substitute any type of crunchy snack.
