Jack and Cherry Coke Slushie recipe is a fun frozen twist on the classic JD and soda cocktail and frozen Coke – it’s a simple blended beverage all boozed up and served slushy-style.
Cherry Coke, Jack Daniels Whiskey, an ice cube tray, and a blender is all you need to turn your Tennessee Whiskey and coca cola into an icy treat for summer sipping.
About Jack and Cherry Coke Slushies
Our Jack and Cherry Coke Slushie is a two-part frozen cocktail comprised of coke and whiskey; it’s the perfect pairing of alcohol and cherry-flavored soda when you want to give your Coke a kick!
This simple recipe is as easy as blending frozen cubes of Coke with whiskey and serving it in frozen form.
While ice can melt quickly and your Jack Coke cocktail can become watered down, Jack and Coke slushies will never be too weak because the alcohol is frozen into ice cubes and blended into the boozy beverage.
Thick enough to taste like a Jack and Coke cocktail, but soft enough to sip through a straw, Whiskey and Coke slushie cocktails are my favorite summer frozen drinks when warm weather calls for something more than a carbonated cola in a can!

How to Make Jack and Cherry Coke Slushie
- Fill And Freeze: Pour Cherry Coke into a standard ice cube tray and freeze for at least 8 hours to overnight or until frozen through.
Pro Tip: Be sure only to fill each cube ¾ full as the Cherry Coke tends to expand when frozen. - Blend: Blend the ice cubes with Jack Daniel’s whiskey on high for 15-30 seconds.
Pro Tip: You can add additional Cherry Coke if it needs a little extra liquid to help the ice cubes blend smoother. - Serve: Pour into a 12 to 14-ounce tall glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry. Enjoy!
Tips For Making Jack and Cherry Coke Slushie
- Measure out your 1 cup of Cherry Coke into a spouted glass measuring cup (this makes it easier to pour without spilling) and allow it to sit on the counter for a couple of minutes for the carbonation to calm down. When measuring the Cherry Coke, you do not want any of the carbonated foam sitting on the top. This will ensure that you get an accurate measurement.
- Place the filled ice cube trays onto a rimmed baking tray before putting them into the freezer. This will catch any Cherry Coke that may spill over when the Coke freezes and expands. This is especially useful if you accidentally overfill each cube.
- I like to fill a few ice trays with Cherry Coke and keep them in my freezer so that I can make this cocktail anytime. You can purchase a multipack of silicone ice cube trays online. I like the ones that come with thin lids for the ice cube trays because this allows me to stack my ice cube trays in the freezer for longer-term storage.
- This recipe will fill a 12-ounce glass to the very top. A pint-size mason jar works as a great glass for this drink.
How to Store Jack and Cherry Coke Slushie
- To Store: This Jack and Cherry Coke slushie should be served immediately. You can gently stir it with a straw as the mixture melts to regain that “slushie” consistency.

Jack and Cherry Coke Slushie
Ingredients
- 1 cup Cherry Coke
- 2 ounces Jack Daniel’s Whiskey
- Garnish with a stemmed maraschino cherry
Instructions
- Pour 1 cup of Cherry Coke into a standard ice cube tray. Be sure only to fill each cube ¾ full as the Cherry Coke tends to expand when frozen. Place your filled ice cube tray into the freezer for at least 8 hours or up to overnight or until your Cherry Coke ice cubes are frozen through.
- Place all the Cherry Coke ice cubes into the container of a blender along with the Jack Daniel’s whiskey.
- Blend on high for 15-30 seconds. The amount of time it takes to blend will depend on how powerful your blender is. You can add an additional 1-2 ounces of Cherry Coke to the blender if it needs a little extra liquid to help the Cherry Coke ice cubes blend smoother. This is really only necessary if you do not have a high-powered blender.
- Pour into a 12 to 14-ounce tall glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry on top.

- If you like your slushies really thick, you can add ½ cup crushed ice to the blender. Unless you have a very heavy-duty blender, solid ice cubes tend not to break down completely when blending this drink, making crushed ice the better option. If you are adding extra ice to the blender, then you will need to opt for the larger glass size.

Can you make this in a blender with ice instead of freezing the cherry coke, just add it all and blend?
