WHY WE LOVE THESE GARLIC CHEESY PULL APART BREAD
Is there a better side dish than cheesy, buttery, garlic bread? I think not. This Cheesy Pull-Apart Bread is like garlic bread on steroids. It’s sooooo delicious and it makes the perfect side dish for just about any meal.
My family absolutely goes crazy for this stuff. We never have leftovers when I make it, and once you try it you’ll 100% see why! Not only is it super delicious, but it’s fun to eat as well.
About Our Recipe
- To make it, you’ll stuff the slices of your bread with mozzarella cheese (aka: one of the best ingredients in the world). Then, you’ll bake it so that the cheese is gooey and melted. This makes it so that the bread is stuck together by the cheese. When you go to pull off a piece of the bread, the cheese comes with it! It’s so delicious!
- This is such a great side dish for almost any entree. It obviously goes great with pasta dishes! It’s a wonderful alternative to store-bought garlic bread. It’s much tastier and just as easy to put together.
- It also goes great as an appetizer or dish to share! It makes quite a bit, and it’s so delicious that people can’t help but munch on it. Not to mention, it makes for a really pretty centerpiece for any occasion. The brown bread with the accent of parsley flakes turns out really pretty!
- Putting this together is actually quite simple. I have come to love this so much that I completely stopped buying store-bought garlic bread! This has changed the way I think about bread as a side dish, and I’m willing to bet it might do the same for you.
PULL APART GARLIC BREAD RECIPE INGREDIENTS
Here are the ingredients you will need to make your pull-apart bread. I tend to have most of the seasonings and butter on hand. Typically I just have to stop at the store to pick up cheese and bread, which is another reason why this recipe is so darn easy!
- 1 (14.5-ounce) country white sourdough bread, round
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning blend
- ½ teaspoon dried rosemary
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped and divided
Pull Apart Garlic Bread Recipe Substitutions & Variations
- BREAD: Change the bread. We used a round sourdough bread. You could also use a loaf of french bread, Italian bread or any type of Artisan bread you can grab from the bakery.
- CHEESE: I am a cheese girl, so I like to add a mix of shredded cheese and top with a bit of parmesan. Sometimes I will throw in some pepper jack cheese to give it a bit of a kick.
- Fresh spices: If you have a few extra minutes, try chopping some fresh rosemary instead of dried and add some fresh thyme, basil and sage. You won’t regret spending a few extra minutes chopping this blend up!
