How to Make Secret Kiss Cookies
This Kiss Cookie recipe will come together quickly and easily! There are only 3 main steps. First, make the dough. Next, wrap the kiss with the dough. Finally, bake and coat with powdered sugar. These are so easy and delicious.
- In a large bowl, Bbeat the softened butter. Then add in sugar and vanilla and mix well.
- Add flour and mix until well combined. Cover the cookie dough and chill for 30 minutes (unitl the dough is firm but you don’t want it stiff). Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough into balls.
- Flatten the dough ball to fit around the Hershey’s kiss. Place an unwrapped kiss in the center and fold the dough to cover each chocolate.
- Place on a prepared baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes (they should be set but not browned – just slightly around the edges). Allow cookies to cool slightly for 8-10 minutes (you can let cool on a wire rack).
- Roll in powdered sugar and let cool completely.
TIP: The powdered sugar will stick a bit easier when the cookies are slightly warm roll them in the sugar.

Frequently Asked Questions
If the cookie dough is a bit stiff, you can add 1 tablespoon of milk to the dough before chilling. If you have the opposite problem and the dough is too runny, you can add a bit of extra flour until you reach the desired consistency to wrap around the kiss.
There are so many ways to change up your secret kiss cookies every time you make them. The first and easiest way is to simply change up the flavor of Hershey’s Kiss you are using. You can also change the powdered sugar by adding cocoa powder to some. You could also add nuts, like pecans, to your cookie dough.

Mine didn’t turn out. I couldn’t make balls. so I added alittle more butter & they just ran while baking. I wanted to try them so much. Don’t know what happened. I followed the recipe. 🤷♀️
The taste was good, but the cookies busted open in the oven and the kisses melted out. 🙁

Just a question about the nutrition facts how many cookies in a serving
I was wondering the same thing. How many cookies does 1 serving make?
1 cookie is 1 serving
Hershey Kisses are much smaller this year than previous years, will that make any difference?
It shouldn’t make a difference

Kind of related, but not really… I made these and WOW! Simple and good! But I was wondering if you had some advice. I would like to make a raspberry jam version (believe it or not, we have family that is allergic to chocolate?!?!) Do you think if I thickened some raspberry jam – sort of like a paste texture, or just get out some of the liquid – this would work? Thank you for any help!
There is a fruit filling sold in cans called SOLO that my Czech husband always used to use for his kolatky. It won’t run like jelly and jam will in the heat of the oven. I’ll bet you’d love it for this recipe. It comes in several flavors. I used to get it at the store in Chicago, but can’t find it here in CA so you can order it online then several stores.
