How do you shape Rice Krispie Treats?
- When cutting treats, remove them from the pan in one big piece and place onto a cutting board. Then, spray your heart cookie cutter so that it is coated with cooking spray and cut the treats into your hearts. This will also work with other holidays and themes. You can use any shape cookie cutter and make a super cute dessert for your party!
Tips for Making Perfect Rice Krispie Treats?
- Spray the spoon with cooking spray before using to stir the melted marshmallows into the cereal.
- Spray your pan with cooking spray to avoid the treats from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
- Use wax paper to press the mixture into the pan (so it doesn’t stick to your hands) or a buttered spatula.
- Store the treats by covering with foil or wrapping individually. Do not store them in the refrigerator as they will get soggy.
- If you are just cutting your rice krispie treats into squares, spray a pizza cutter (or knife) with cooking spray first. The pizza cutter works the best!
How do you color Rice Krispie Treats?
Looking to step up your rice krispie treat game? How about adding some color to the treats! That’s right, it is really easy to make colored treats. After you combine the butter and marshmallow, just add food coloring to the melted marshmallows! Once you get your desired color, then add in the cereal!
