Air Fryer Pickles are crispy, tangy, and downright addictive. And guess what? Making them in the air fryer is a total breeze!
Air Fryer Fried Pickles
Our Fried Air Fryer Pickles recipe is a healthier finger food option that you can feel good about eating instead of deep-fried pickles.
Made in minutes by coating dill pickles in a flour and seasoned Panko breading mixture and cooking them until you have a crispy crust, fried pickles in the air fryer are the ultimate appetizer or guilt-free snack for game day and can even be served as a side dish with dinner.
While you can certainly use this air fryer recipe to prepare air fryer pickle chips, I prefer buying dill pickle quarters; I think they stay crunchier because there’s been less submerged in pickling liquid.
Making air fryer appetizers means my food is not covered in oil; each batch cooks crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with the perfect crunch in every bite.

Tip From Our Recipe Developer
- I recommend using dill pickle quarters for this recipe. You can find them in the refrigerated section of your grocery store.
- Arrange the pickles in the basket so they are not touching. You want to make sure the hot air can circulate evenly. You may have to cook them in multiple batches.
- The Panko breadcrumbs give the fried pickles a nice crispy texture. If you don’t have Panko breadcrumbs, you can use regular breadcrumbs.
- The cooking time will vary depending on the size and thickness of your pickles. Mine took about six minutes to cook.
- Be sure to spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray before adding the pickles. This will help to prevent them from sticking.
Storage
- To Store: You can store the Air Fryer Fried Pickles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
- To Freeze: I do not recommend freezing these pickles as they will lose their crispiness.
- To Reheat: Reheat them in your air fryer for a few minutes until they are crispy and hot.
