Upside Down Apple Pie Cinnamon Rolls
Ingredients
- 2 Granny Smith apples peeled and diced
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup butter
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 can cinnamon buns
- 1 tbsp caramel sauce
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine the apples, brown sugar, butter, and cinnamon. Heat the mixture over medium heat for 3-5 minutes until the butter and sugar have melted. Pour the mixture into a 9-inch cake Pan and spread evenly. Place the cinnamon bun on top of the apple mixture, with one in the center and the other four evenly spaced around the center.
- Bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes.
- Allow the pan to cool for about 5 minutes, then place a plate over the top of the pan and flip it over.
- Warm the glaze that came with the cinnamon buns and the caramel sauce together in a small bowl for about 10 seconds in the microwave. Stir them together and drizzle the caramel sauce over the top of the cinnamon buns.
