Substitutions and Additions

How to Make Ritz Churro Bites
- Make The Butter Mixture: Bring the butter, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon to a low boil, stirring frequently.
- Coat The Crackers: Spoon the butter mixture over the Ritz bits crackers and “toss” until well coated.
- Bake: Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle With Cinnamon and Sugar: Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar over the crackers and cool completely. Once cooled, “break” the churro bites apart.

Ritz Churro Bite
Ingredients
- 8.8 ounces box peanut butter Ritz bits cracker sandwiches
- ½ cup salted sweet cream butter
- ⅓ cup + 2 tablespoons light brown sugar packed
- ¾ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with 2 layers of heavy-duty aluminum foil.
- Spread the Ritz bits crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Set it aside.
- Add the butter, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, and ½ teaspoon cinnamon to a 2 to 3-quart heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a low boil for 1-1½ minutes. Be sure to stir frequently.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Carefully spoon the butter mixture over the layer of Ritz bits crackers. Use tongs or a silicone spatula to “toss” the crackers until well coated. Bake for 10 minutes.
- Add the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon to a small mixing bowl. Stir to combine. Set it aside.
- Remove the cracker from the oven. Sprinkle the cinnamon and sugar over the crackers. Allow to cool completely. Once cooled, “break” the churro bites apart. Serve once completely cooled.
