A simple blend of 4 ingredients creates a frothy, fruity-flavored delicious drink–it’s better than any milk you’d buy at the market.

  1. In a medium bowl, add the strawberries and stir together the strawberries and sugar until berries are evenly coated.
  2. Leave the strawberries to sit in the sugar to macerate (soften) for 30 minutes.
  3. Blend the macerated strawberries with the milk and heavy cream until the mixture is frothy.
Pro Tip: I ran the blender through the smoothie cycle twice. Blend according to you likeness.
  4. Optional: Strain the strawberry milk into a pitcher.
  5. Serve in two glasses or refrigerate until ready to serve.
  6. Enjoy!

Tips

  • Since the sweetness of strawberries can vary, feel free to adjust the sweetener to suit your tastebuds.
  • Don’t be too quick to throw out the strained strawberries. They are delicious in a bowl of greek yogurt, over vanilla ice cream, or even mixed into cottage cheese.
  • If you want to avoid lactose, use any type of lactose-free milk you prefer.

Storage Tips

  • To Store: Store this Strawberry Milk in the refrigerator, covered, for 2-3 days.
  • To Freeze: Strawberry Milk can be kept safely in the freezer for up to 6 months in a freezer safe container, but the consistency may change over time. It will be best if used within one month.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use frozen strawberries instead of fresh strawberries in this recipe?

You can replace the fresh strawberries with frozen strawberries, but you will need to make sure they are at least somewhat thawed before placing them in sugar. Using frozen strawberries makes this drink a little more like a smoothie or milkshake. Try it, it’s fun!

Do I have to macerate the strawberries before adding them to the blender?

Macerating the strawberries is a process in which the roughly chopped strawberries and sugar are combined and then sit together for 30 minutes. This not only softens the strawberries, making them easier to blend, but helps to dissolve the sugar to prevent any graininess.

However, if you are short on time and want a quick breakfast or snack, you can skip this step altogether and simply throw all of the ingredients in the blender. I recommend doing an extra cycle of the smoothie cycle if your blender is capable of it.

What is the simplest way to make strawberry milk?

For a simpler drink more reminiscent of the Nesquik strawberry milk days, replace the strawberries and sugar with 2 ½ Tablespoons of strawberry syrup. There is no need to use a blender for this method.

Is this Korean Strawberry Milk

No, this is different than the popular Korean strawberry milk that became TikTok famous. Korean strawberry milk has chunks of strawberries in the milk. Our strawberry milk recipe blends everything together.
