Perfect for summer sipping, this alcoholic frozen lemonade is the ultimate warm weather cocktail. It takes only 5 minutes and 4 ingredients (plus ice) to blend together this incredibly easy party pleaser.
In the container of your blender add the ice, lemon sorbet, vodka, lemon juice and sugar. Blend on high (or on your blenders ‘smoothie’ setting) for 1-2 minutes, or until smooth and no large ice pieces remain.
Pour your frozen lemonade into your glass, garnish with a lemon slice and enjoy.
Notes
Storage:You can make this drink ahead and store it in a lidded, freezer safe, glass container.Tips:
If you wish to make this frozen lemonade “non-alcoholic” for the kids, you can just omit the vodka and replace it with ¼ cup water. It will still be delicious!
To make this an even easier drink, try substituting the fresh squeezed lemon juice and the sugar for ⅓ cup of good-quality, pre-made, lemonade.
To keep your frozen lemonade as cold as possible, place your freezer-safe serving glasses into the freezer for 5-10 minutes prior to filling them with your cocktail.
This recipe makes a smaller batch of drinks but can easily be doubled to serve more people.
You can easily adapt this recipe to make thicker frozen lemonade that can be eaten with a spoon. Simply use less liquid--the less liquid you use, the thicker it will be.
