Notes
Storage:If there are any leftovers, you can place them in an airtight container with a lid and place them in the fridge. When ready to enjoy again, simply reheat on the stove or back in the slow cooker. You can also scoop some into a mug and heat in the microwave. The consistency of your hot chocolate will stiffen up in the refrigerator, but it will turn to liquid again when it’s reheated.Tips:
If you prefer, you can make this recipe on the stovetop instead of making it in the slow cooker. You will just want to heat it on medium heat for the same amount of time in a large pot, covered with a lid. Don’t let the mixture boil.
You can make this drink ahead of time if you are serving it at a holiday party. Simply place it in the fridge. When ready to serve, just warm it up. It will stiffen up when placed in the fridge but will become liquid again when it’s reheated.
