Grinch Caramel Twist Pretzels are a fun and festive sweet, salty, chewy, and crunchy snack, complete with a Grinch green coating and red candy heart. Perfect for a Grinchmas party or holiday celebration, this no bake recipe makes a hectic season seem easy!
Roll a soft caramel chew between your hands or on a table until it is approximately 6 inches long.
Starting at the top, wrap the caramel chew around a pretzel rod working your way down to about 1 inch from the end of the pretzel. You can keep the ends of the caramel in place by pressing them into the pretzel rod. If your room is warm, you’ll need to set them on a non-stick surface unless immediately dipping in white chocolate.
In a medium-sized microwave-safe bowl, mix vegetable oil with white chocolate chips until all chocolate chips are coated. Microwave the white chocolate chips 15 seconds at a time, stirring very well in between every 15 seconds until the chocolate chips are completely melted. Make sure you don’t overheat the chocolate, it will become chunky.
Add about 6 drops of green food coloring to the white chocolate and stir well. The exact amounts will vary depending on the brand and shade of green you use. Add more or less food coloring until you reach the color you desire.
Using a spoon, scoop green chocolate over the caramel pretzel rods starting about an inch from the base down to the tip of the pretzel making sure to cover the entire pretzel and caramel. Allow the excess chocolate to drop back into the bowl until a smooth coating remains on the pretzel.
Place the pretzel rods on parchment paper. Before the chocolate has hardened, sprinkle all over with green sugar sprinkles and place one red candy heart between caramel swirls on the pretzel rod.
Place the pretzel rods in your refrigerator for about 10 minutes to allow the white chocolate to harden completely.
