Heaven On Earth Cake is a trifle-style treat filled with layers of angel food cake, cherries, pudding, and whipped topping. Easy to make and nothing to bake, this is the perfect Valentine's Day dessert or anytime sweet snack.
In a medium bowl, whisk or beat together the instant vanilla pudding mix, half and half, and Greek yogurt until completely combined. Set aside for at least 5 minutes to thicken.
Cut the angel food cake into 1 inch cubes.
Take half of the angel food cake cubes and layer them on the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
On top of the angel food cake layer, pour ½ of the pudding mix, followed by ⅔ of the cherry pie filling.
Then add another layer of the remaining angel food cake cubes atop the cherry pie filling.
Top with the remaining half of the instant vanilla pudding mix mixture.
Spread the tub of whipped topping over the pudding to create an even top layer.
Drizzle what’s left of the cherry pie filling evenly on top of the whipped topping layer.
Sprinkle with sliced almonds.
Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until set and then plate and serve cold.

The ingredients need time to soak into the angel food cake, so make this cake with plenty of time before it is served.
It’s easiest to use a large serving spoon when dishing out portions of this to your guests or family. No knife is necessary.
It is easy to customize this recipe by using a different flavor of pudding mix and/or a different pie filling flavor. Feel free to use your favorite flavor combinations!
