0.42ounces(3 0.14-ounces) packets of Kool-Aid mix (I use Cherry, Blue Raspberry Lemonade, and Grape).
Instructions
In a large drink pitcher combine 8 cups of cold water, ½ cup granulated sugar, and 1 packet of Kool-Aid.
Mix well for 1-2 minutes using a large whisk until the sugar and Kool-Aid are fully dissolved.
Carefully pour kool-aid into your favorite ice cube trays.
Place inside the refrigerator and chill for at least 6 hours overnight.
When completely frozen, serve with your favorite drink!
Notes
Storage:
To Store: Store your ice cubes in a freezer-safe bag in the freezer for a few months.
Tips:
This recipe makes a ton of ice!! Each Kool-Aid pitcher makes 8 cups and 1 cup fills up a 16-cube ice tray. So if you made all of the ice you would have about 384 ice cubes.
Add ice cube trays to a large baking sheet to make transportation to the freezer easier.
Use a drink pitcher with a pour spout.
These ice cubes go great with water or any Kool-Aid drink. I do not recommend them for soda other than Sprite. And they also don’t taste great with juice other than white grape juice.
The colors will run slightly when you add the cubes to a beverage. But they won’t mix or blend together right away.
You can’t taste the Kool-Aid flavoring immediately but you can taste it over several minutes! However, it is mild.
You can mix different flavor of cubes together in one glass or keep them separate.
