Watermelon Lemonade is a refreshing summer drink you can make at home in 5 minutes! Filled with fresh fruit and plenty of vitamins, it's a great way to hydrate during the heat and humidity.
Blend the watermelon in a food processor with 2 cups of the water until the watermelon is smooth.
Pour the watermelon mixture into a large pitcher and whisk in the rest of the water, the lemon juice, and the sugar.
Notes
Storage :This lemonade can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. I recommend covering the top of the pitcher with plastic wrap if your pitcher does not have a lid. Tips:
Feel free to use a fine mesh strainer or sieve to make the watermelon juice into a clear liquid. I chose not to stain my liquid simply because straining would make this recipe more complicated. And my recipes are all about easy!
Buy your melon during watermelon season or you’ll end up with a tart version of this fruit.
In order to get the most juice from your lemons, make sure they’re at room temperature (or microwave them for about 15 seconds before juicing).
Fresh watermelon juice tends to settle in the pitcher so the lemonade needs to be stirred regularly.
